North Carolina apples piled high in a flaky crust then covered in our crumb topping, because everything is better with crumb topping! We head to western NC in the fall for a little R&R and bushels of apples, choosing a mixture of crisp, tart varieties. After lots of peeling we mix 'em up with a touch of sugar and spice.
